How Jiaxing Breaks Through The "Bottleneck" Of Down Garment Industry

　 The export of down garment is one of the characteristic industries in Jiaxing. There are nearly 200 export down garment processing enterprises under the jurisdiction of Jiaxing Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, which has initially formed a relatively complete industrial chain from down processing to garment manufacturing. However, with the continuous growth of the down garment industry, problems such as small enterprises, lack of necessary inspection and detection means, relatively low product quality control, and uneven quality of export products have become increasingly prominent, which have become the "bottleneck" restricting the development of this characteristic industry.  

Jiaxing Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, through in-depth research, focuses on understanding the crux of the problems of export enterprises in production management, product quality and safety, finds the right starting point and starting point, and focuses on the requirements of "quality improvement" activities, taking multiple measures to actively help enterprises improve their quality and promote the export of down garments.

We will increase technical assistance to expand exports. In view of the favorable opportunity of this year's export situation, the bureau actively helps enterprises analyze potential target market demand, timely provides enterprises with relevant product technical standards and regulations of the importing country, helps enterprises launch products that conform to the religion, culture and customs of the importing country, improves the quality and grade of finished products, and makes them develop towards the direction of high added value. By the end of May this year, the bureau had accepted 374 batches of 636300 pieces of eiderdown garments for export inspection. The number of batches and quantities had increased significantly compared with the same period last year, making the first five months, which was supposed to be the off-season for eiderdown garments export, a hot sale.

Strengthen the control and improvement of processes and links. The bureau actively guides enterprises to improve the quality assurance system, attaches importance to the source management of product quality, pays special attention to the selection and purchase of down, conducts down quality inspection according to different standards before garment delivery according to the country where the products are shipped, and practically helps enterprises to strengthen the control and improvement of multiple processes and links such as product materials, processing, and quality inspection.
